it’s been a long time since i was so unbridled with happiness as i was last night at the jeff mangum show in chicago. he played everything i wanted to hear. the audience engaged him with questions. after he played “oh comely” (my favorite) someone asked what his favorite song was to play. he said, “that one.” i love that his favorite song to play is my favorite song of his. it was magical.
